Hollicombe Beach

Hollicombe Beach is a nice sandy beach on the coast between Paignton and Torquay. The beach is usually quiet as there are no facilities and limited parking, but there is a nice park called Hollicombe Park above the beach.Safety:

From Hollicombe Park there is a tunnel under the railway line leading to a slipway down to the beach. There is also a foot bridge over the railway line and then some steep steps down to the beach.Dogs:
Dogs banned 1st May to 30th September.Directions:
Torquay is 24 miles from Exeter. From Exeter take the A38 and shortly after Exeter take the A380 (signposted to Torquay) and continue on the A380 past Newton Abbott to the outskirts of Torquay. On the A380 at the Edginswell junction turn left where signposted to Torquay onto the A3022. Follow the A3022 to the sea front at Torre Abbey Sands. At the sea front turn right to continue on the A3022 to Paignton. On this road there is a limited amount of road parking at Hollicombe Park. Alternatively park at Torre Abbey Sands and walk to Hollicombe Park, taking about 20 minutes. There are other routes to Torquay such as from Plymouth via Paignton.Post Code:

Free road parking by Hollicombe Park, with space for about 10 cars, but limited to 4 hours. Alternatively park at Torre Abbey Sands or in Paignton.Toilets:
No toilets by the beach. Nearest toilets are at Preston Sands at the north of Paignton beach (about 10 minutes on the coast path).Facilities:
